One of the biggest misconceptions I run into when talking to people about what I do and how I live my life that it is some kind of phase that I am going through. When I explain how I live my life, by building businesses and investing from my computer while traveling around, I often can see this misconception in the way the person talks to me. Their tone and the slight phrases they say show their true thoughts: “That’s a pretty cool way to spend your 20’s.” Or “Nice!…read more
When I read Taylor Pearson’s title to his article “A Single Word Summary of 188 Books on Entrepreneurship”, I instantly knew the one word he was talking about. It had been something floating around in my head for a while and he was describing exactly what I was thinking. Through all my readings, it seems that the one factor that truly makes the difference is focus. So if this plan sounds stupid, let me know, but please include the reasoning behind it. Also, if you think monthly case studies / updates would be fun, I can include those as well.
Since I’ve come across the idea of being financially free about a year or so ago, thanks to Nassim Taleb’s idea of “F U Money” and Mr. Money Mustache’s writing on how much easier it actually is, I have been reading a ton about investing right now. Between reinvesting in businesses and paying off my student loans, there’s not a lot to do besides working to max out my Roth IRA. I know…read more
I feel like I need a small win when it comes to this blog. I’ve been meaning to start a blog for about 2 years now. About a year ago, Cory and I decide to start one together. This took a year to do. I don’t want to talk about how long coming up with a domain name took. So this first post is going to be my small win. To actually get something out and to the open. And chances are, nobody will read this first post anyways, unless…read more
